Under Armour Assist Sunglasses Review https://vetterland.com/under-armour-assist-sunglasses-review/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=under-armour-assist-sunglasses-review https://vetterland.com/under-armour-assist-sunglasses-review/#respond Mon, 07 Jan 2019 02:27:30 +0000 http://vetterland.com/?p=6063

Price: $74.99 (Amazon)

At a Glance:

While the Under Armour Assist has all the basic features that sunglasses should, ergonomics were a major factor in its development. These sunglasses were designed to be comfortable, lightweight, and fit securely regardless of the task at hand.

First, let’s take a look at the ArmourSight lenses that ship with the UA Assist. Not only do the AmourSight lenses provide distortion-free and enhanced vision, they also protect against 100% of harmful UVA/B/C rays.

Next, let’s take a look at the ArmourFusion frames that come with these glasses. The ArmourFusion frames were created with a high grade injected polyamide, which makes them strong, durable, and light. The UA Assist frames also feature screwless cam-lock hinges that allow your temples to lock in place for a sturdy fit.

Although I’ve had these sunglasses for a few years now, they’re still going strong. Furthermore, it’s nice to know that they’re covered for life under UA’s manufacture defect warranty, just incase if something goes wrong.

Sometimes I find myself going back and forth about whether I should rock these or my Oakley Holbrooks for the day. Ultimately, I’m equally as happy with whatever I decide, because they’re both great sunglasses.

Pros:

  • Stylish sunglasses
  • Protection against UVA/B/C Rays
  • Lightweight Frames
  • One Size Fits All Sunglasses
  • Lifetime return policy on glasses incase of manufacturer defect

Cons:

None

Final Thoughts:

What makes the UA Assist great? Simple, they’re thoughtfully designed, stylish, and budget friendly. They’ve also proven to be functional by providing 100% protection from three different types of UV rays. The bow on top of this present is the lifetime guarantee against all manufacture defects. If you’re in the market for some new shades, then I’d highly recommend the Under Armour Assist.

CONDOR Tactical Patch Cap Review https://vetterland.com/condor-tactical-patch-cap-review/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=condor-tactical-patch-cap-review https://vetterland.com/condor-tactical-patch-cap-review/#respond Mon, 07 Jan 2019 01:22:36 +0000 http://vetterland.com/?p=6059

Price: $13.99 (Amazon)

At a Glance:

The CONDOR Tactical Patch Cap is one of my favorite hats for a few reasons. First, we’ll take a look at the hat’s design. CONDOR’s Patch Cap features a traditional six panel crown, which pairs well with its wide and sturdy brim. It also features an adjustable backstrap and flexfit band, which allows the hat to form to any head shape or size. Additionally, this cap has six ventilation holes to keep your head cool.

Next, we’re going to look at the three hook and loop panels on the CONDOR Tactical Cap. On the front, there’s a heavy duty 2×3 panel where you’ll rock all of your favorite patches. Incase you decide to go patcheless, CONDOR’s logo is sewn into the front panel, which gives the hat a few extra style points. On the top, there’s a 1×1 panel that’s typically used in the military world for IR tags. If you’re unfamiliar with IR tags, they’re reflective infrared squares that allow drones to ID you as a friendly and not a target. In the civilian world, this panel is great for sticking blood type patches or whatever else you’d like on it. On the back, there’s a 3.5×1 panel that can be used for name tape and other patches alike.

Although I love this hat, I pride myself in being honest with you guys. If there’s one downside to this cap, it’s the breathability (or lack there of) in the front. On hot summer days I find myself wishing there was one or two more ventilation holes in the front of the cap. With that being said, this is not a deal breaker for me, but if you’re someone who sweats a lot it maybe a consideration for you.

Pros:

  • Lightweight
  • 6 Panel Design
  • Hook & Loop front panel for Morale Patches
  • Vent Holes Around Cap
  • Adjustable Backstrap W/ Buckle
  • Hook & Loop strip on the back of the hat
  • Wide variety of colors

Cons:

  • Breathability in the front of cap could be better

Final Thoughts:

To sum things up, the CONDOR Tactical Cap is well made, stylish, and highly customizable. There are plenty of color options, so whatever you’re into I’m sure there’s one for you. Although I mentioned the issue of breathability in the front of the cap, it’s still one of my all-time favorite hats. If you’re in the market for a new hat, id definitely recommend CONDOR’s Patch Cap.

CRKT Eat’N Tool Review https://vetterland.com/crkt-eatn-tool/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=crkt-eatn-tool https://vetterland.com/crkt-eatn-tool/#respond Sun, 06 Jan 2019 23:50:02 +0000 http://vetterland.com/?p=6051

Price: $6.99 (Amazon)

At a Glance:

The CRKT Eat’N Tool is an EDC item that’s perfect for storing in your backpack, Bugout Bag, or in the glovebox of your car. This bead blasted multitool is constructed with 3CR13 steel, and weighs in at a light 1.5 ounces. The Eat’N Tool is a 7 in 1 multitool that features: a combo fork/spoon, bottle opener, flat screwdriver, as well as 6, 8, and 10mm hex wrenches. I own several CRKT Eat’N Tools that I keep in my vehicles, as well as my 5.11 Rush 24 backpack. This tool has proven itself useful several times over. I’ve used it for eating, prying cans open, unscrewing things, you name it.

Although I love this tool, I must admit that the spoon is too shallow. When you’re eating soup or chili you find yourself wishing you could get a little more on the spoon to really chow down. Whatever my thoughts are on the spoon, the upsides of this tool completely erase this small flaw. For the price of seven dollar, I highly recommend CRKT’s Eat’N Tool.

Pros:

  • Proudly made is the USA
  • Lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • Multi tool
  • Available in multiple colors

Cons:

  • Spoon’s curve is slightly too shallow

Final Thoughts:

You never know when you’ll need a spork, screwdriver, hex wrenches, or a prybar, but for all occasions CRKT’s Eat’N Tool is a wonderful solution. This multi-tool is extremely useful to have in a pinch, and is perfect for storing in your backpack and vehicle. Personally I wish this spoon was slightly deeper, but it’s not a deal breaker because this multitool has so many useful features. Grab an Eat’N Tool today, you might need it tomorrow!

The blackwash finish gives this knife a classic worn look, adding even more style to an already snazzy knife. This knife features Kershaw’s speed safe spring-assisted technology for easy one-hand deployment. Another nifty feature of the Cryo is its four position deep-carry pocket clip, allowing each user to adjust the knife according to their preference. If you don’t a knife with a bit of heft, then this knife may very well climb to the top of your EDC list.

Overall Length: 6.50″
Weight: 4.10 oz.
Blade Metal: 8Cr13MoV

Pros:

  • Four position deep carry pocket clip
  • Thumb Stud & Flipper
  • Speedsafe assisted opening
  • Great Blackwash finish option

Cons:

  • On the heavier side when considering the size to weight ratio (4.1oz).

Final Thoughts:

This knife was very well thought out and is quite feature rich for such a small knife. The most standout features include: spring assisted opening, a four position pocket clip, and a flipper & thumb studs that enable rapid deployment. This knife is offered in several finishes, but our personal favorite is the Blackwash. Get yours HERE
