At a Glance:

The CONDOR Tactical Patch Cap is one of my favorite hats for a few reasons. First, we’ll take a look at the hat’s design. CONDOR’s Patch Cap features a traditional six panel crown, which pairs well with its wide and sturdy brim. It also features an adjustable backstrap and flexfit band, which allows the hat to form to any head shape or size. Additionally, this cap has six ventilation holes to keep your head cool.

Next, we’re going to look at the three hook and loop panels on the CONDOR Tactical Cap. On the front, there’s a heavy duty 2×3 panel where you’ll rock all of your favorite patches. Incase you decide to go patcheless, CONDOR’s logo is sewn into the front panel, which gives the hat a few extra style points. On the top, there’s a 1×1 panel that’s typically used in the military world for IR tags. If you’re unfamiliar with IR tags, they’re reflective infrared squares that allow drones to ID you as a friendly and not a target. In the civilian world, this panel is great for sticking blood type patches or whatever else you’d like on it. On the back, there’s a 3.5×1 panel that can be used for name tape and other patches alike.

Although I love this hat, I pride myself in being honest with you guys. If there’s one downside to this cap, it’s the breathability (or lack there of) in the front. On hot summer days I find myself wishing there was one or two more ventilation holes in the front of the cap. With that being said, this is not a deal breaker for me, but if you’re someone who sweats a lot it maybe a consideration for you.

Pros:

  • Lightweight
  • 6 Panel Design
  • Hook & Loop front panel for Morale Patches
  • Vent Holes Around Cap
  • Adjustable Backstrap W/ Buckle
  • Hook & Loop strip on the back of the hat
  • Wide variety of colors

Cons:

  • Breathability in the front of cap could be better

Final Thoughts:

To sum things up, the CONDOR Tactical Cap is well made, stylish, and highly customizable. There are plenty of color options, so whatever you’re into I’m sure there’s one for you. Although I mentioned the issue of breathability in the front of the cap, it’s still one of my all-time favorite hats. If you’re in the market for a new hat, id definitely recommend CONDOR’s Patch Cap.
